PRESS RELEASE-Don't go viral—get your annual flu shot—- Langlade County Health Department Announces September Walk-In Flu Clinics

To help residents stay healthy as the fall respiratory season approaches, the Langlade County Health Department will hold three walk-in flu vaccination clinics at its main office during the month of September.

No appointments are necessary. Community members can choose from three flexible scheduling options, including morning, lunchtime, and after-work hours:

  • Thursday, September 17: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

  • Wednesday, September 23: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Lunchtime)

  • Monday, September 28: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (After-Work)

All clinics will be held at the Langlade County Health Department, located at 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo, WI and attendants are asked to please bring their insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid cards.

An annual flu shot is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older as the single most effective step to lower the risk of severe flu illness and hospitalization. To meet the needs of all residents, three vaccine options will be available on-site:

  • Standard Regular Flu Vaccine

  • Flublok

  • High-Dose Flu Vaccine (specifically formulated for seniors aged 65 and older)

If you are unable to attend a walk-in clinic but would still like a flu shot, appointments can be made by calling the Langlade County Health Department at 715-627-6250.
